CBI North East’s Future Leaders programme is looking to engage people with leadership potential, who can demonstrate a commitment to the region and aspire to be a regional leader by the end of the Regional Economic Strategy in 2016.
With your help, we would like to identify rising stars from the private sector, with the talent to lead, and a commitment to contributing to the region’s progress.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop leadership capacity in your organisation whilst ensuring your people develop a wide network of contacts in the region. We would therefore encourage you to nominate a future leader for the programme.
By participating in the programme, Future Leaders will gain:
Access to influential people and the places where decisions are made;
The opportunity to have their views heard on the important issues affecting North East business;
New relationships with a network of influencers, shapers and emerging leaders
The knowledge, skills and contacts to fulfil their potential.
The CBI Future Leaders programme welcomes applications from anyone who is in a senior position in a private sector organisation and is living or working in the North East. Applicants must be willing to commit to:
Participate in the programmed Leadership days - approx. 8 days
Take a role in the project of your choice - approx. 35 hours over the year
Travel costs for one visit to Brussels and London
To nominate someone from your organisation for this excellent opportunity, please ask nominees to complete the attached questions and return the answers, with a CV to Hilary Nichols at hilary.nichols@cbi.org.uk. The closing date for applications is 25th July. If you would like further information about the programme, please contact Hilary via email or on (0191) 255 4413.
