Sonia joined us in December 2002 as a senior reporter based at the Newcastle headquarters. In 2003, she had a five-month stint on the features desk, followed by two years covering the Gateshead patch. Now she is the district reporter for North Tyneside and South Tyneside, covering issues ranging from crime to local government. She also reviews Bollywood films for the Chronicle and writes an online blog about the industry.
