PEUGEOT’S latest little van, the Bipper, has scooped a top award in the Van Fleet World Honours. The Bipper was named Best New Van and impressed the judges with its 610 kilo payload and 2.5 cubic metre cargo capacity.
Priced from £7,995, excluding VAT, the Bipper has the flexible loading of bigger vans with a Multi Flex folding passenger seat that lowers to the load floor level, extending the load length and volume to 2.49m and 2.8m³.
Fitting into the Peugeot light commercial vehicle range between the 207 Van and the Partner Origin, the Bipper has 14-inch steel wheels, ABS, driver’s airbag, asymmetric steel rear 180 degree opening doors, radio/CD player, power steering and driver’s ladder frame protector fitted as standard. It comes in two versions S and S with Plus Pack. Options include Bluetooth phone connections, air conditioning, rear parking aid, roof bars and side sliding doors.
The Bipper is available with either 1.4-litre petrol or diesel engines and two gearbox options, including for the first time on a Peugeot LCV an electronically controlled manual gearbox – 2-Tronic – designed to help urban delivery drivers by minimising manual changes and also has the attraction of CO2 emissions of 119g/km.
