Hadrian Sweets in Haltwhistle, Northumberland, was launched by Sue Robinson in response to the increase in the number of people suffering from diabetes and food intolerance, coupled with the growing demand for sugar free and no added sugar products.

Sue started by manufacturing sugar and gluten-free products, supplying to her mother’s company Sweet Magic which was based in Lancashire. Sweet Magic, now in its seventh year, are a wholesale company specialising in sugar and gluten-free products and supplying shops and wholesalers in all parts of the UK.

In 2007 Sue expanded her business and created the company Hadrian Sweets supplying direct to the public and to local retailers in Northumberland.

Due to the continued growth of both companies Lynda West who owned Sweet Magic and daughter Sue decided that as from 2nd June 2008 Sweet Magic would relocate to Northumberland.

Hadrian Sweets offers a choice of 50 varieties of sugar free sweets. Many are also gluten free. There’s also a range gluten and sugar free cakes and puddings, biscuits, and chocolate bars.
