Help to keep skin young and beautiful
Jul 26 2008 by Francesca Craggs, The Journal
MANY women think a facelift is the only way to look younger but are put off by the expense, pain and inconvenience. Instead, they turn to Botox, Restylane and Purlane as a quick fix.
A new idea to improve creases and wrinkles on the face, whereby the patient looks young again is Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture. This is being used with great success in Los Angeles, London and several places in the UK. This treatment is now available on your doorstep at The Aesthetic Private Medical Clinic in Blyth.
Compared with the available injection techniques mentioned above, it is much less expensive. The treatment can also be used for breast augmentation.
Dr Reg Carr, who carries out the procedure, said: “This treatment does not involve the injection of any substance whatsoever into the skin. It involves treating creases and wrinkles with an almost painless acupuncture technique, which will encourage skin tightening and improve the circulation to the whole face. Advice will also be given regarding diet and improvement exercises.
“Usually one treatment gives the skin a boost and improves well-being, but the patient may be advised regarding a course of treatment. The results will then be even better.”
Routine acupuncture for pain relief and other conditions has been available at Dr Carr’s clinic for the past 30 years, involving thousands of patients. Advice and treatment is also available for all cosmetic conditions.
Dr Carr is a member of the Association of Cosmetic Doctors. He has trained in Harley Street and other centres of excellence in the UK. Consultation and treatment is by appointment only. The clinics will be held twice weekly at the clinic, but early advance booking is advised.
The Aesthetic Private Medical Clinic is at 19 Carlton Street, Blyth NE24 2DB, tel: (01670) 363334 or e-mail: Reginald_carr126@yahoo.co.uk.
