BROCKSBUSHES PICK-YOUR-OWN AND COUNTRYSIDE MARKETS

PICK-YOUR-OWN season will start at Brocksbushes farm in the next couple of weeks. The farm, just outside Corbridge, is famous for its pick-your-own strawberries, its asparagus and an award- winning farm shop and tea room.

Pick your own is an increasingly popular way to enjoy the soft fruits of summer, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy a few quiet, relaxing hours in the countryside. It is undoubtedly the freshest and best way to buy your fruit.

Soon you’ll be able to pick strawberries, raspberries, tayberries, gooseberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants. It makes a great day out during the school holidays. On Friday, June 19, there is a Countryside Market from 10am-3pm, with local food suppliers. Markets are held on the third Friday of every month.

Brocksbushes is also planning a Strawberry Fayre on July 4 and 5 from 10.30am-5pm. There’ll be a crafts’ marquee plus local food suppliers with plenty of free tastings on offer. Mini quad bikes and diggers will keep the kids entertained along with face painting and fun kids cookery sessions.

Brocksbushes has easy access and trouble free parking, making it an ideal one-stop shop.
