Utility company Severn Trent offloaded another part of its business after agreeing to sell more than 500 acres of development land. The Birmingham company's latest move involved the disposal of Severn Trent Property in a deal worth £71.7m.
Mittal back in chief's chair
STEEL billionaire Lakshmi Mittal has been appointed chief executive of Arcelor Mittal, months after he stepped aside from the top job.
Mr Mittal agreed to take on the position of president as opposed to chief executive when steel groups Arcelor and Mittal merged last June.

CASH machine operator Cardpoint has rejected the £105m takeover offer which prompted the resignation of its chairman last month.
The Blackpool company said the 100p a share proposal "did not reflect fair value" for the company.
Ryanair hovers over Aer Lingus
BUDGET airline Ryanair posted record profits despite soaring fuel costs and repeated its desire to buy Irish rival Aer Lingus for £1bn.
Ryanair said profits for the six months to September 30 had lifted 39% to £220m as the number of passengers it carried jumped from 18 million to 22.1 million.
Ladbrokes talks cause a flutter
SHARES in gaming group 888 Holdings surged as investors reacted to the possibility of a £470m takeover by high street bookmaker Ladbrokes.
The stock was up more than 8% after Ladbrokes confirmed last night that it was in the early stages of talks with 888.
