FURTHER strengthening its team, landscape and urban design practice Colour: UDL has recently made two appointments.
Emma James and George Hatzikostis join the company as an associate and project landscape architect respectively.
Brought on board to meet the increasing demand for its services locally, nationally and internationally, Emma will be responsible for delivering high quality and imaginative design solutions to Colour: UDL’s clients and for developing office management systems and protocols within the company.
Having previously worked on the public realm element of the award winning Trinity Gardens development at Central Quayside, Newcastle, and the Newcastle Hospitals Trust PFI scheme, Emma brings a wealth of knowledge to this role.
Emma said: “The range of exciting projects, diversity of expertise and Colour: UDL’s design-led approach were what really attracted me to the job.
“Great emphasis is placed on design integrity and the innovative use of space. There is also tremendous enthusiasm and energy exuded by the team at every level.”
With a number of recent project awards focusing on the education sector from universities through to primary schools, George’s role as a project landscape architect will see him adding value to what is an already experienced team, bringing his substantial PFI project knowledge into play on some particularly exciting schemes.
George said: “I am excited by the possibilities and challenges of this new environment and the prestige connected with much of the company’s work.”
Peter Owens, managing director, added: “Emma and George have already made a tremendously positive and early impact on our continued success.”
