CRICKET fanatic Aman Ali is aiming to push the boundaries in his first job in the motor industry.
The 27-year-old is the new sales consultant at Sherwoods Chevrolet, in Chestnut Street, Darlington, and is relishing the prospect of working for one of the region’s biggest motor dealers after moving to the UK just a year ago.
Aman previously worked for mobile phone and telecommunications firms in Chennai, India, holding positions ranging from technical support adviser to sales manager.
He followed his girlfriend to the UK last year, taking a sales role at electrical retailer Currys before moving to Sherwoods.
When he is not selling cars, Aman is a dedicated cricketer, playing as a fast bowler for the Cockerton club in Darlington.
“Cricket is a real passion of mine,” he said. “In India, it is not the national sport as such, but it is huge and I have grown up always playing cricket.
“I am really enjoying the motor industry and working for such a respected name as Sherwoods. It is a fascinating profession and I am hoping to do very well here.”
