Opportunity knocks for sales office manager

NICOLE Vanzie has been appointed sales office manager at Matfen Hall Hotel, Northumberland. Nicole brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge in both sales and hospitality, having worked in the industry for more than 23 years.
Nicole joins Matfen Hall from Weetwood Hall, near Leeds, where she held the position of sales manager.
Nicole, who is married with two children and originally from Dublin, has been living in England since 2000. A professionally trained chef, she worked in this sector for over seven years. Nicole then changed career path to work in sales and marketing, spending six years with Bass Taverns and more recently as sales and marketing manager and deputy general manger at Sutton Castle in Dublin.
In her new role she will be responsible for overseeing the sales and reservations departments and developing sales in all areas. She is looking forward to this newly-created and challenging position.
Nicole said: “I am absolutely delighted with this post; it is the most fantastic opportunity with huge potential. I am very much looking forward to building the business for Matfen Hall, specifically targeting the weddings, conferencing, corporate events and private dining. There are some wonderful opportunities and a great team to work with.”
With 53 bedrooms, conference facilities for up to 120 delegates and wedding facilities for up to 250 guests, Matfen Hall is the largest independently owned and operated country house hotel in the North East.
