WITH a population of more than 1bn people, India is the biggest democracy in the world, covering 3.3m square kilometres.

So, if you want help finding your way around, the UK Trade and Investment team’s advisors in the North-east are a good point of contact.

It is planning an introductory seminar to the market on October 2 and will run a market visit between February 7 and 14 in 2009. Financial assistance will be available to eligible companies who apply early.
