CASTLE Morpeth Borough Council residents can benefit from the best offer around on the insulation front by simply ringing Northumberland Warm Zone and having an insulation survey done completely free.

Operating under the “Change 3” banner, the council has agreed to reduce the cost of either cavity wall or loft insulation from the current (already reduced) cost of £129 to only £99 for each measure.

The idea is part of the council’s aim to reduce the carbon footprint of the area by next April and at the same time help residents save money. Having both measures carried out can save householders around £300 on their energy bills and thus pay for itself within twelve months.
