For good health, in business and in life

A GROUP of mumpreneurs is focusing on creating healthy businesses and healthy bodies.

Networking group Newcastle Business Mums is staging the “A healthy business, a healthy you” event next week with advice from a tax expert combined with a workout with a fitness trainer.

Dona Skaife, a mother and director of Woodbine Business Services, will host a question and answer session on business accounting and tax issues. She will also share her top tips for keeping a business healthy.

Debbie Donaldson, who owns Pushy Mothers North East, will give advice on fitness for working mums and talk about post-natal workouts.

She said: “Research has found that many women and especially mums feel that they simply don’t have time to exercise, with the pressures of work and hectic lifestyles.

“I want to advise the business mums on the benefits of regular fun exercise for themselves and their business and help them find better ways of getting what they need on their doorstep.”

Members will also have the opportunity to take part in ‘speed networking’ where up to 20 businesses will have a 60-second time slot to promote their special offers, promotions and events to the rest of the group.

Mother-of-two and Newcastle Business Mums founder Vicki Stone said: “Even if you’re a mum who is thinking about starting a business, but don’t know where to start, come along and meet some other mums to give you some inspiration and have fun.”

The event, on Tuesday June 23, takes places at South Northumberland Cricket Club, Gosforth from 7.30pm.
