INGLEBY Barwick-based Mortgage Advice Bureau has appointed Cherise Connors as an independent advisor.

Cherise has more than 20 years’ experience of the financial services industry having worked for a large banking institution and an independent mortgage advisor in Teesside.

LAW firm Ward Hadaway, which services the Tees Valley, has made a nap-hand of appointments by promoting five staff to the position of associate. The new associates are (from the left, below): Lisa Berg from the firm’s private client team; Nina Robinson, who works in the employment team; David Brocklehurst from the planning team; corporate lawyer Ross Paterson; and Laura More from the public sector team.

NUNTHORPE financial planner Suzanne Cox was given the perfect opportunity to witness wealth management on a grand scale when she won a free weekend to Monaco. Suzanne, who works for Billingham-based financial advisers Carterbar, won a weekend for two to attend the Formula 1 Grand Prix motor race in Monaco - one of the richest places on the planet. She was entered into a prize draw after asking pension provider Partnership for a quotation for a client who was suffering chronic ill-health. Partnership is a provider of pension policies for people whose life expectancy may be shortened by illness.

S V Bye Chartered Accountants in Guisborough has strengthened its bookkeeping and payroll service with the appointment of John Barnes as client manager. John established a bookkeeping business in Gateshead in 1989 before transferring it to Teesside eight years later. Previously he worked for a chartered accountancy firm in Newcastle.
