Logging on to web of innovation

DIGITAL marketing and recruitment company Pearsons is the sponsor of the Internet and ICT Award for the 2009 nebusiness awards.

This category sets out to recognise excellence of website design, in terms of visual performance, navigability and interactivity.

Businesses need to prove a demonstrable impact of the use of web technology on their business, internally and externally.

They also need to show how the innovative use of internet technology has improved business performance or has boosted competitiveness within an existing business, or to start a new business.

Simon Pearson, Pearsons chairman, said: “We are delighted to be a headline sponsor for the second year running for both sub-regional and the regional awards, this year for the Internet and ICT Award.

“We at Pearsons are very passionate about the web and how it can impact dramatically on the success of businesses in terms of generating sales, streamlining processes and delivering all round efficiencies.

“We work with some of the region’s most well known companies to deliver creative web solutions and see a great deal of excellent work and innovation on the web everyday.

“We are delighted that great work is being recognised by the nebusiness awards.”

As sponsor of the Internet and ICT Award, Pearsons will be involved in pulling together panels of judges to review the entries, collate the shortlist and choose the final winners.

Pearsons, established in 1986 by Mr Pearson, employ 60 people and has offices in Stockton, Newcastle and Leeds.
