CREATIVE communications agency Drummond Central has expanded its management team, as Caroline Metcalfe joins the North East Advertising Agency of the Year.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the sector, Caroline joins the Newcastle-based agency as group account director and will work closely with managing director Julie Drummond to achieve ambitious growth plans for the business.
Her role at Drummond Central will involve a mix of new business development and the strategic growth of existing client work.
Caroline recently left hpmgroup, in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, where she held the post of head of client service and was on the board of directors.
Drummond Central managing director Julie Drummond said: “I’ve worked with Caroline in the past and know that she will make a great member of the team. Her experience will complement the skills we have in-house and help us grow the business even further.”
Previously, Caroline has worked for Newcastle agencies including Martin Tait Redheads, Yellow M and Robson Brown, on clients as diverse as Scottish and Southern Energy, Watson Burton LLP, The Bridges Shopping Centre, O’Neill and the election campaign for the Conservative Party.
Caroline said: “Julie and Steve Drummond have built up a great business over the last five years, and have a really interesting client base. I’m looking forward to getting my sleeves rolled up and getting stuck in.”
Established over five years ago, Drummond Central has seen strong growth both in the client base and turnover.
