IT pairare going sky high

A DARLINGTON couple are aiming for the skies after launching a new venture specialising in cloud computing.
Rebecca Scally and her husband Jeremy claim that Big Little Fish can take the fear out of IT by providing technology solutions that allow smaller businesses to trade strokes with their weighty counterparts.
They are hoping to build a multi-million pound business in five years by capitalising on the growth of cloud computing.
“All of our solutions (which include disaster recovery and IT infrastructure and support) are based on the cloud”, says Jeremy.
“It’s all about economies of scale - about getting more for less.”
He says the pay-as-you-go cost of using information from the cloud can be more than offset by the reduction in capital investment in servers, laptops and PCs.
And small businesses, he says, stand to benefit the most.
“It gives them access to the technology that previously might only have been affordable to larger businesses.
“We believe our solutions can help the metaphorical little fish operate just like the biggest fish in the pond.”
Jeremy spent 11 years swimming in technical roles for London’s big IT fish, including Atlanta Technology, before starting his latest venture in January.
Meanwhile Rebecca, who used to work for global travel management firm BCD Travel, manages the finances and business development side of the company.
Big Little Fish generates a steady £2,000-2,500 a month and the duo hope to grow revenues by doubling the number of clients to 20 by early next year.
