Rewarding creativity of our region’s business

THE North East is a hotbed of creativity with new and existing creative businesses demonstrating success through agility, resilience and ingenuity in present economic conditions.

There is little doubt that creativity is an essential ingredient for success. Creativity helps to explore new possibilities, it also encourages vision, intuition and imagination.

Our region has seen huge benefits from its cultural regeneration over recent years, with many artists and creative businesses starting up in or relocating to the area. The creative industries deliver innovation, opportunity, participation and economic resurgence to our region.

We support the Best Creative Business category at the nebusiness awards because at Arts Council England, North East we wholeheartedly support our region's creative entrepreneurs. This special award recognises the strength and value of the North East's creative industries.

Through this award, we are looking to recognise and celebrate the achievement of creative entrepreneurs who have demonstrated innovation, good business practice, passion and a determination to succeed through the arts and their creative business.

We are encouraging arts businesses to nominate themselves for the Best Creative Business award and really put the spotlight on the best of the North East's creativity, innovation, imagination and entrepreneurialism.
