Don’t miss last chance to win nebusiness award

The winners line up for a final photocall at last year's prestigious event. More than 30 prizes are up for grabs this year

THERE are only hours left for firms to show what makes them stand out from the competition and enter the running to win one of more than 30 titles up for grabs in the nebusiness awards 2009.

The awards – organised by The Journal and Evening Gazette in association with Business Link – are a brilliant way for companies to shout about their business and celebrate their success.

The deadline for entries for the awards is 5pm today.

Our new online entry forms are quick to complete so there is plenty of time to send in your company’s details and be in with a chance of winning this year.

David Simms, managing director of ncjMedia, said: “With world, national and regional economies that are less than buoyant, it would be too easy to diminish the significance of the nebusiness awards this year.

“But it is actually more important than ever that we continue to provide a platform for North East businesses to showcase their strengths and achievements.

“The nebusiness awards for 2009 will once again prove that there are hundreds of businesses across the region doing great things, achieving impressive results and demonstrating world-class qualities, despite the global credit crunch.”

Hundreds of companies have already come forward to show their strength, ambition and innovation in the hope of winning one of the trophies in the region’s biggest and best business awards.

And there is certainly a chance for businesses of any type to shine. There are prizes to suit firms of every size and type and we welcome entries from across the region from Teesside to Cumbria to the Scottish border.

And, as ever, the coveted Company of the Year Award will look at a firm’s achievements over a wide range of criteria to find a model business.

The 2009 winners will toast their successes at a black-tie award presentation dinner at Hardwick Hall near Sedgefield, County Durham, at the end of April, one of the biggest dates in the region’s business calendar.
