Show off your success story

By Alastair MacColl, chief executive of Business and Enterprise North East, which manages and delivers Business Link services across the region

THIS is the second year running the Business Link service has supported the nebusiness awards as associate sponsor. Quite simply this is because these prestigious awards provide a unique opportunity to celebrate the vigour, ambition and confidence of our business community.

And it’s never been more important we do celebrate that success and really bang the drum to reinforce how many great businesses we have in our region.

It is vital we use these awards to send a wake up call to the rest of the country, telling them the North-east means business.

Every day of the week Business Link works with fantastic businesses that have all of the qualities required to reach the final stages of these awards.

This year we will work with over 32,000 customers. In the first quarter of this financial year alone Business Link has worked with almost 6,000 businesses and over 2,800 individuals exploring business ideas.

Those figures confirm the North-east’s entrepreneurial spirit is in great shape.
