LAW firm Gordon Brown Associates has appointed a fourth staff member using Durham Business Club.

Jamie Clarke has joined the Chester-le-Street branch of the firm as an accountancy apprentice.

The former Park View Community School pupil joins legal typist Leanne Groom, ICT manager Michael Wheatley and Vicky Richardson, the firm’s accounts manager in arriving at GBA through the business club.

Its work based learning director, Susan Matthews said: “Durham Business Club has been in partnership with Gordon Brown Associates for many years and we are very proud of our record of supplying young apprentices and juniors to the firm. We are very pleased that Jamie has taken the opportunity to continue that relationship.”

Eileen Wignall, practice manager at Gordon Brown Associates, said: “Gordon Brown Associates has built up a strong relationship with Durham Business Club and found it an excellent way to find people from around the county who can make a difference to our firm. Jamie’s arrival and enthusiasm for the job has continued that trend and we are looking forward to helping him to develop his career.”
