Muckle helps Patterson complete sale deal

A LAW firm helped complete a deal which saw one of the North-East’s leading car salesrooms being snapped up by a Scottish firm.

The Patterson Motor Group was sold to Arnold Clark Automobiles for an undisclosed sum last month. Matt Collen, corporate finance partner at North-East law firm Muckle, which advised Patterson’s on the deal, said: "After providing proactive and commercial business advice to the Patterson group for many years, we’re proud that the Muckle team have helped the group’s shareholders to reach this latest success.’’

Mark Hatton, a partner at the Newcastle office of business advisers Ernst & Young, said: "This deal was very much a meeting of minds, which augurs well for the future of the enlarged business. The deal was delivered by a cohesive advisory team in just six weeks."
