NEWCASTLE law firm Hay & Kilner has appointed Alice Clewes as an associate solicitor in the wealth management team.
She moves to the North East from Bristol-based Burges Salmon who have one of the largest private client departments in the country.
Clewes is one of the few lawyers in the region to hold the Chartered Tax Adviser’s qualification.
Hay & Kilner, which has 21 partners, says her expertise and experience in wealth and tax planning issues will enhance the service it provides to its private client base, which includes entrepreneurs and owner managers.
Kirstin Cook, partner and head of the wealth management team, at Hay & Kilner, said: “Alice’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to expanding our expertise in the field of wills, trusts and estate planning and to providing our clients with the best possible advice.
“This is a view endorsed by The Legal 500 Guide 2008: ‘Hay & Kilner’s seven-strong dedicated private capital unit has a strong reputation and offers comprehensive expertise.’”
