Law firm's property team on the move

LAW firm Gordon Brown Associates is moving its commercial property team into new Newcastle offices.

The seven-strong team, led by senior partner Gordon Brown, has joined the existing Newcastle-based staff at the new 2,836 sq ft office in Higham Place.

Gordon Brown Associates, which also has offices in Chester-le-Street, where it was established in 1981, Sunderland, Houghton-le-Spring and Low Fell, initially moved into Newcastle in 2008 when it merged with Jonathon Stokes Solicitors.

The decision to combine the commercial property team with the existing employment and dispute resolution team previously based at Mosley Street is a reflection on its continued growth, say the firm.

Gordon Brown said: “Over almost 30 years, we have grown from a small family firm into a large, multi-base operation serving clients across the UK from County Durham, Wearside and, most recently Tyneside.

“Newcastle has become the key focus for the further growth of Gordon Brown Associates and our continued expansion in the city, as well as these new offices, plays a major part in achieving that.

“Despite our growth in size, we have done a very good job of retaining a family feel to our practice and I believe, in that respect, we offer something new to clients on Tyneside.

“Our network of offices offers support to each branch, meaning that whether it is employment, litigation, commercial and residential property, family law, wills and probate or estate agency, we can offer each of these services to any client, no matter where they are, which door they walk through, or which office they telephone.”
