LAW firm Gordon Brown Associates has appointed specialist solicitor Catherine Taylor-Wilson to establish a new team at its Newcastle office.
The firm recently opened new offices in Hadrian House, and Ms Taylor- Wilson will build a team to handle wills, probate, estate and inheritance tax planning, trusts and lasting powers of attorney, alongside the existing commercial teams which are based there.
A full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, as well as of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Law Society Probate Section, she has trained and practised in the North of England since 1992. Prior to that, she read law at Leicester University and worked in Italy. She now lives in Durham.
Ms Taylor-Wilson recently spent more than eight years with a York-based commercial law firm before moving to Gordon Brown Associates, which also has offices in Sunderland, Chester-le- Street and Houghton-le-Spring.
Gordon Brown, senior partner, said: “In our Newcastle office, we offer a wide range of services specifically aimed at businesses and their owners. But these business owners are people, the same as any other, and the services Catherine’s new team will offer are relevant to everyone.”
