LAW firm Samuel Phillips has promoted solicitors Sally Lomas Fletcher and Brendan McNeany to partners.
Lomas Fletcher joined the Newcastle firm in 1998 as a medico-legal assistant. She was supported by the firm as she completed her legal practice course, and stayed with Samuel Phillips through her training contract. She qualified as a specialist in employment law in 2002 and has worked at Samuel Phillips since.
She said: “Samuel Phillips has demonstrated a commitment to investing in its employees. We are keen to continue this supportive approach into the future. The employment law department has an excellent reputation, and, together with the other partners, I look forward to continuing to build on this by delivering the very best service for our clients.”
Brendan McNeany joined the firm in 2008. He specialises in commercial litigation and intellectual property. He joined the firm because it gave him more opportunity to specialise, and to work in Newcastle’s larger commercial marketplace. He said: “Both Sally and I look forward to playing our parts in the future of the firm. Samuel Phillips is a well-established firm with an impressive portfolio of clients. It has a reputation for providing practical and pragmatic advice, while seeing the clients’ commercial perspective too.
“Samuel Phillips has a long history, and we, together with the rest of the management team, wish to see sustainable growth for the company and to ensure its continuation long term.”
