Robert Thompson’s team has advised on a number of major deals over the past year, many of them involving an international dimension.
Some of the locally-based deals include the acquisition of three manufacturing sites in Europe by Newcastle-based Aesica Pharmaceuticals Ltd and the sale of the Morpeth- based engineering company Baric Systems to the New York Stock Exchange-listed Colfax Corporation.
The team is also working on an investment deal worth several hundred million dollars into a UK company for a Europe-based international commodities manufacturer and supplier.
Speaking about the eighth edition of Sinclair on Warranties and Indemnities on Share and Asset Sales, John Pacione, commissioning editor at Sweet & Maxwell, said: “Sinclair on Warranties is a key title in Sweet & Maxwell’s Commercial Series – we are therefore very pleased it is in such expert hands at Ward Hadaway.
“Over the previous three editions, Ward Hadaway have put their stamp on the content: tailoring the commentary to the needs of the intended readership; keeping abreast of current practice; covering the impact and implications of recent legislation; even anticipating the implementation of forthcoming legislation, eg, in this new edition, the Bribery Act. All this contributes to the ongoing success of the book.
“At Sweet and Maxwell we very much look forward to working with Ward Hadaway in sustaining and enhancing this success long into the future.”
