AROUND 40 new jobs will be created with the opening of a multi-million pound care home extension with funding arranged by Yorkshire Bank.
The new jobs for nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, healthcare assistants and kitchen and domestic staff will be created at Belle Vue Care Home, Middlesbrough, where work has started on the new £3.3m extension after gaining financial support from Yorkshire Bank Tees Valley Financial Solutions Centre – FSC – through its Investing for Growth initiative.
The extension takes the total number of care beds to 103. It was founded by Dr Dilip Acquilla and his wife, Dr Sushma Acquilla, in 1996.
Dr Dilip Acquilla said: “We are pleased to be expanding with this exciting new facility and creating new jobs.
“We have a long-standing relationship with Yorkshire Bank and are delighted to be taking this into a new era for both businesses.
“The support of Yorkshire Bank’s Tees Valley FSC, which understands our business well, has been crucial.”
Yorkshire Bank Tees Valley FSC business partner, Richard Jackson, said: “Dr Dilip Acquilla and Dr Sushma Acquilla and their staff run a first-rate care home.
“This exciting new extension will create badly-needed facilities and jobs for the North East, especially with the Young Chronic Sick unit.”
Yorkshire Bank Tees Valley FSC is part of Yorkshire Bank’s North East Team which also includes Newcastle FSC and comprises 70 staff working in teams encompassing corporate banking, private wealth management and treasury services and credit.
