INDEPENDENT accountancy practices across the UK have joined forces to form MHA, an association designed to help them grow without losing either their identity or individuality.
Tait Walker, of Gosforth, is the only practice from the North East to join the association.
MHA says it aims to provide individual practices a national footprint to facilitate growth and profitability for its member firms, while allowing them to retain the name and brand loyalty that they have built up within their region or practice area.
The association is designed to allow individual firms to add expertise to their portfolio, by drawing on the experience, knowledge and specialist areas that the other firms in the association already have. Each member company will have a representative on the MHA board.
AS well as its Gosforth base Tait Walker also has offices in Morpeth and Stockton. Managing partner David Arthur said: “The partners at Tait Walker remain firmly committed to operating independently, as do the other members of MHA, whilst working together to enhance client service.
“By working closely with the other members, this will give Tait Walker full national and international coverage and access to additional knowledge and expertise which will enhance the service we are able to offer our clients.
Similarly other members will benefit from the extensive expertise within Tait Walker.”
The MHA association will also be a member of Morison International, a significant international association of accountancy and legal professionals.
MHA (MacIntrye Hudson Association), is an association of accountancy firms who have all agreed to work together to increase growth and profitability; provide their clients with an improved range of services and expertise; and offer broader geographic coverage.
Member firms include; Broomfield & Alexander in Wales, Bloomer Heaven in Birmingham and Henderson Loggie in Scotland.
