ACCOUNTANCY Ryecroft Glenton has appointed five directors to provide new client-facing roles for each of its key accountancy and business advisory practice areas.
The directors are all experienced specialists who have worked with the North East firm for many years. They join Carl Swansbury who was appointed earlier this year to lead and develop the corporate finance sector within Ryecroft Glenton.
Chris Robson, managing partner, said: “We have promoted five highly experienced staff and recently appointed Carl to ensure we have the depth of specialist expertise in each of our key sectors to answer client demand. Each director will be a key point of contact, and will work with partners in the firm to enhance the depth of expertise clients require.”
The new appointments are Simon Hopwood, director – taxation services, Andrew Cameron, director – corporate services, and Graham Darbourne, Helen Pennock, and Chris Black who are all directors in the assurance and business services team.
Simon Hopwood advises clients across all taxes, and is responsible for advising on corporation tax for the firm’s client companies.
Chris Black has expertise in audit and also specialises in consultancy and regulatory work for educational institutions, charities and not-for-profit organisations.
Andrew Cameron acts for larger corporate groups, working with them to identify risks and opportunities in client businesses and to recommend future strategies to improve performance and profitability.
Both Graham Darbourne and Helen Pennock specialise in advising owner-managed businesses including professional firms. Their guidance aims to improve the sustainability and governance of businesses.
Robson added: “These five new directors are all home-grown talent. They have each worked with us as managers for some years and have all actively contributed to the development of our firm. They are a testimony to the firm’s commitment to developing and nurturing talent from within.”
Ryecroft Glenton has offices in Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside with 16 partners specialising in tax, corporate finance, business services, audit and assurance.
