TWO solicitors from the regions biggest law firm are celebrating after being named as two of the top 35 female private client practitioners under the age of 35.
Faye Thorman and Emily Green both specialise in private client work for Newcastle-based Dickinson Dees wealth management team, currently ranked in the countrys top 25.
Thorman is no newcomer to the Private Client Practitioner magazine award, having now won it for the third year in a row.
Nominations were sought from around the world and across the full range of private client advisory professions.
Green joined Dickinson Dees in September 2006, where she qualified into the private client department in 2008. She is actively involved in promoting several projects, including an executive employee benefits service, and a wealth management service for business owners. She is a frequent contributor to a range of publications, including the press and in-house newsletters and magazines, and regularly presents at client events and seminars, both within the firm and for external providers. She said: I am delighted to be joining Faye in the Top 35 Under 35 this year. I am extremely fortunate to be part of such a supportive team at Dickinson Dees and it is down to the encouragement, support and guidance we have both received from the team, that Faye and I have been able to achieve this award.
Thorman qualified as a solicitor with Dickinson Dees private client practice in September 2006.
In addition to her fee-earning work, she has brought other skills to Dickinson Dees. While reading law at Durham University, she had a part-time job as a broadcast journalist with a local BBC radio station, which included presenting their weekday morning traffic and travel bulletins.
David Dale, head of wealth management at Dickinson Dees, said: It is an outstanding achievement to be selected for such a prestigious award, but to have two of our team selected from a global shortlist of entrants, is just breathtaking.
It is a true testament to the hard work and commitment of both Emily and Faye that they have been recognised in this way.
