RYECROFT Glenton Corporate Finance has created a new role, appointing chartered accountant Abu Ali as a corporate finance senior to deal with the growing demands of its corporate finance business.
Ali is an experienced accountant, having worked with Clive Owen and Co for three years before joining the Newcastle firm.
Ali is a qualified chartered accountant, who graduated in accounting and finance from Newcastle University, and currently lives in the city.
He said: “I’ve been given an insight into the role I’ll be carrying out and I am very enthusiastic about contributing to RGCF’s success, working alongside clients and Carl Swansbury on acquisitions, disposals and all other forms of corporate transactions.”
“Being given the chance to grow Ryecroft Glenton’s corporate finance service line is very exciting indeed.
The reputation of the firm and the success achieved by Ryecroft Glenton Corporate Finance were the key reasons behind my decision to join the firm.”
The corporate finance division of Ryecroft was formally established following the appointment of Carl Swansbury as director of RGCF in May last year.
RGCF announced year-end results significantly ahead of expectations for its first complete year of business earlier this month.
Ali will be working on transactions in the North East and across the UK, building on the momentum of RGCF’s first year.
Swansbury said: “Abu has a great attitude and focus, and will be a valuable addition to our team in what will be a very exciting year for RGCF. We already benefit from the first-rate skills of Ryecroft Glenton partners in areas including tax planning and financial due diligence, and Abu’s commitment to corporate finance activity will strengthen our transaction team significantly.”
