RMT Accountants & Business Advisers are preparing for further growth with the recruitment of four new staff to its corporate team.
Stephanie Reardon, Liane Granger, Michael Robertson and David Wansell have all joined the Gosforth-based firm in roles which will enable them to broaden their business experience, continue to develop their financial knowledge and learn from senior members of the RMT team.
Reardon has joined the firm as an audit senior, after spending seven years with another North East practice. A fully qualified accounting technician, she is now going to be working her way towards full ACCA qualification with support from her new employer.
Originally from Lincolnshire, Granger came to the region to study for a business management degree at Newcastle University, and decided to stay after graduating in 2008.
Having first joined a small local firm, she has moved to a senior accountant position at RMT, and has responsibility for a wider role across clients’ accounts preparation requirements and business advice needs alike.
Robertson achieved his AAT qualifications after taking up an accountancy apprenticeship after he left school at age 18.
He is now working towards full ACCA qualification with the support of his new employers, and is primarily working with RMT’s SME client base to help meet their compliance and advisory business requirements.
Wansell is currently working towards his AAT qualifications, which he expects to complete by next summer before moving on to full ACCA qualification.
He has joined RMT from another Newcastle practice where he began his training, and is now carrying out a range of compliance and general accounting duties.
Mike Pott, managing director at RMT, said: “Bringing in younger staff provides us with the opportunity to train them in the methods of working that have made RMT successful , and to demonstrate how we meet the high standards of service that our clients rightly expect from us.
“All our new recruits have shown real commitment and talent in their careers so far. They now have the perfect opportunity to both realise their ambitions and fulfil their potential with our support.
“These appointments are the latest part in an ongoing recruitment drive that’s being fuelled by RMT’s continuing growth and we are looking to bring more people into the team when the right opportunities arise to support the needs of our growing client base.”
RMT provides the full range of financial and business advisory services through its corporate finance, recovery and insolvency, medical and specialist tax divisions.
