Lloyds Bank Wholesale Banking & Markets appoint Peter Egan

LLOYDS Bank Wholesale Banking & Markets has bolstered its trade finance team in the North East with the appointment of Peter Egan.

The trade manager brings almost a decade of experience advising mid and large corporates.

Based at the bank’s Sandyford Road offices, Egan will be working within the specialist trade finance team for customers based across the North East and North Cumbria.

Lloyds Bank Wholesale Banking & Markets trade team offers a wide range of international trade products including supplier, pre-shipment and import finance packages, in addition to foreign exchange risk management, and bonds and guarantees.

His appointment comes during a period of significant investment by Lloyds Bank into its trade team as it looks to make a number of other hires across its UK-wide regional infrastructure.

Mike Mullaney, area director for Lloyds Bank Wholesale Banking & Markets in the North East and north Cumbria, said: “Many of our customers are working closely with specialists like Peter for their detailed understanding of global trade.

“We’re strengthening our team here in the North East in direct response to an increase in demand for our trade services.”
