NEWCASTLE law firm Clarke Mairs has acquired Neil McQueen Duncan & Egner.
Neil McQueen Duncan & Egner was set up in 1946 by Arthur Neil McQueen and supplies both commercial and individual legal services.
Senior partner, Giles Egner, will join Clarke Mairs as a consultant and his son, Mark Egner, will become a partner.
Clarke Mairs’ private client services division is headed up by Alexandra Bartrope, who specialises in wills, probate and estate administration and trusts.
She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has grown the department over the past two years.
Tim Clarke, partner at Clarke Mairs, said: “The acquisition of Neil McQueen Duncan & Egner forms part of Clark Mairs’ steady expansion since the firm was set up in 2007.”
