Manufacturing plays a key role in economy

MANUFACTURING continues to play a key role in the region’s economy.

And this category looks at rewarding and recognising manufacturing excellence in our region.

Last year the Tees Valley title went to E&F Composites, Hartlepool.

The company took the award for its work using open and closed mould techniques and designs and makes composite products including bonnet assemblies, body panels, caravan parts, and fan shrouds.

The North-east title went to the Responsive Engineering Group in Gateshead.
