Shower manufacturer’s products are water efficient

A LOCAL shower manufacturer is doing its bit for the environment by being one of the first UK companies to have its products labelled as water efficient.

Newton Aycliffe-based shower manufacturer Roman has been awarded the Bathroom Manufacturer’s Association (BMA) Water Efficiency Label for many of its shower valve products.

Roman’s range of valves is designed with flow regulators to restrict the water flow. This economic flow rate has earned the valves approval with the BMA, passing the required criteria to qualify for the labelling scheme.

The aim of the scheme is to raise awareness of bathroom products that, if installed and used correctly, will use less water whilst delivering the bathroom experience that users have come to expect.

David Osborne, Roman’s managing director, said: “We are proud to be one of the first companies in the UK to have our products labelled water efficient.

“The BMA have only just launched the scheme and we are 100% behind it.

“Hopefully, this labelling scheme will help to highlight to people the importance of being water efficient.”
