COLES Solicitors has moved to purpose built premises on Northallerton's Thurston Road, following a trend in professional services relocating to more staff-friendly locations.
MD and principal solicitor Peter Gibson said: "After many months of searching out a new home to house our expanding team of lawyers and support staff, we have now signed up for a move to what will be the newest office development in Northallerton."
He said modern technology played an increasing role in Coles Solicitors’ expansion and development, and the firm needed premises that were flexible and adaptable.
It is the first law firm in Northallerton to step out of the town centre and Mr Gibson said everyone - not least the clients - would benefit from the move.
The new premises have more free on-site parking, dedicated meeting rooms and full disabled access.
Similar demand from professionals looking for a better quality of life in market towns is driving a £2m business park in Guisborough.
Atrium Business Park at The Triangle will provide seven companies with the opportunity to own state of the art offices.
Mike Graham, a partner in development firm Atrium, said market town developments, such as that in Northallerton, helped rural-dwelling professionals cut down on commuting time .
