Meanwhile, as Enigma plans to move into its new 9,000 sq ft headquarters on Newcastle’s Quayside, the company has further boosted its international appeal.
Despite its modest size – with a workforce of around 25 – it ranks a number of multi-nationals among its clients and recently proved its worth on a global scale.
As part of its work with music giant EMI, the company has developed and runs an online search, auditions and download system called PlayProductionMusic.com.
And such is the popularity of the online tool, the firm has now been commissioned to produce variations of the system for Scandinavia, Spain, Australia and the Netherlands.
“We’ve been working with EMI for 10 years and we’ve established a world-leading system,” said Mr Grainger.
Last week Enigma revealed plans to create a new hub for digital and creative firms in Newcastle as part of a £1m refurbishment project.
The company will breathe new life into the Mansion House Chambers building on the Quayside, which houses three floors of offices that have been derelict for close to a decade.
It will use half of the 9,000 sq ft for its own staff and will sub-let the remaining space to fellow North East creative businesses.
