DESIGN and construction firm Koru Property Services has put the finishing touches to a £2.5m nursing home in Northumberland, which will create 65 jobs.
The Gateshead firm has completed Eastgate Manor for Team Valley-based Executive Care Group, a 44-bedroom care facility offering residential and nursing services, as well as a specialist suite for dementia sufferers.
While construction of the facility in Stocksfield helped create 75 jobs in the building trade, the completed site will create another 65 jobs.
The total construction of the three-storey, 44-bedroom nursing home took just over a year to complete, and the facility has a hairdressing salon.
Mark Taylor, managing director of Koru Property Services, said: “Our ageing population means the care industry is a crucial sector and as a forward-thinking company, we have been quick to establish a firm foothold in providing care home operators across the North with bespoke buildings.
“Koru Property Services enjoys an excellent relationship with the Executive Care Group who, like many of our clients, has offered us repeat business based on our unique offerings, competitive tenders and operational efficiency.”
The development is 26th specialist nursing home that Gateshead-based Executive Care Group has opened in the UK.
