A DARLINGTON-based social enterprise is undertaking a new scheme to help raise money for the local community.
For years, eVOLution has faithfully assisted many charities in their day-to-day running by offering them business services such as ICT support, room and equipment hire and accountancy and secretarial services.
Now, following excellent feedback from voluntary and community sector companies including Age UK and First Stop, eVOLution is offering private businesses the chance to benefit from these same services. However, profits made by eVOLution as a result of this scheme then go straight back into the Darlington community.
This scheme arises from eVOLution’s remit to develop, support and promote the voluntary and community sector in Darlington and to help generate a positive change in peoples’ lives.
Private sector companies such as The Franchise Company have already signed up.
Ken Rostron, from The Franchise Company, said: “The services that eVOLution provides are absolutely fantastic.
“ We use its ICT support and maintenance services which are of the highest quality, being provided by professional, Microsoft-certified staff.
“The great thing about the scheme is that it makes for a win-win situation. Companies are able to save a bit of money whilst also giving back to the voluntary and community sector which is really struggling in this current climate.”
eVOLution business and development manager Michael Durkin said: “We opened up the scheme to the private sector as we know that companies are very much focused on corporate social responsibility, but they’re also careful of their spending.
“With us, they get the same high standard of work as they would with other professional services, but the entire surplus generated goes back into local charities. And because of all this, we really do recommend that companies jump aboard and start using us.”
All of eVOLution’s ICT staff are Microsoft-certified and its accountants chartered.
