Where’s there’s a will, there’s a way to help

Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors has once again raised more than £7,000 for Will Aid with the help of clients who participated in Make a Will month in November 2011.

During November 2011, Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors accepted charitable donations in place of their normal fee for all basic wills drawn up. Clients’ donations have totalled £7,310, all of which will help vulnerable children, families and older people through the nine charities Will Aid supports; ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF and Trocaire. Nationally, Will Aid has reported its most successful year ever, raising more than £1.5 million to date.

Carolyn Tilly, partner with Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors and specialist in Wills and Probate, said: “It is wonderful to report this success for Make a Will month. This scheme is often the catalyst which encourages people to draw up their will and ensure their estate will benefit those they wish.

“By taking part in the annual Will Aid scheme, many people have also demonstrated how keen they are to support charities despite the current economic conditions. We’re very grateful to everyone who participated.”
