Survival expert gives his tips for wild times
SURVIVAL expert Ray Mears has been drafted in to help North East companies emerge unscathed from the economic downturn.
Professional services group Service Network has signed up the hardy television presenter to address its annual conference this month.
They believe that his knowledge of weathering inhospitable climates will mean he can impart valuable advice to businesses at the event.
Mears said: “It’s an honour to be invited to the North East for this conference. I want to encourage businesses to be motivated despite the credit crunch headlines – we all need to do more to free our instinct for survival.”
The organisers saw Mears as an ideal speaker for what they called his Robinson Crusoe approach to problem-solving.
