DEVELOPERS Jomast are pressing ahead with one of the few speculative developments in the region with the creation of a new business park at Dawdon, County Durham.
Work on Admiral Point, Jomast’s new commercial development at Spectrum Business Park, is due to be completed next year and when complete will provide over 40,000 sq ft of high quality commercial and industrial units, ranging from 2,500 sq ft to 13,500 sq ft.
The new multi-million pound project is adjacent to Jomast’s existing site, whose tenants include Kidde Products, Orbis plc, Access Rentals, Transmark fcx and Tradesport.
Mark Hill, Jomast’s commercial property manager, said: “Unlike other developers, we are continuing with our build programme and are expecting final completion at Admiral Point early next year. Despite the current economic climate, we are very much looking forward and construction is progressing as planned.
“It is a challenging time for many businesses but by planning ahead and looking at the bigger picture we can ensure that those companies who have weathered the storm and require good quality commercial space in a year or two are accommodated straightaway.”
