A BUILDING society is celebrating after retaining its Investor in People status.
Darlington Building Society has held IIP status since 1996.
Revised standards have been introduced since the last assessment in 2005, so the firm says retaining the award is an “outstanding achievement.”
Representing the society at a recent IIP awards ceremony at Bowburn Hall were Lynne Cooke, HR Officer and Sue Watson, Training Officer.
Accepting the award from Robert MacLeod, Managing Director, Assessment North East, Lynne Cooke said: “Darlington Building Society is passionate about supporting and developing all staff in order that they can reach their full potential.
“Naturally, therefore, we are fully committed to maintaining our IIP status.
“The Society was one of the first organisations in the region to receive the IIP Award in 1996 and even though a number of revised standards have been introduced since then, we remain extremely proud to have always been deemed worthy of retaining our recognition.”
