A NATIONAL Skills Academy for the process industries is to be based on Teesside, the Evening Gazette can reveal today.

Based at Wilton, the academy will now become fully operational after extensive planning.

The academy will work to overcome process industry skills shortages and was due to be announced by David Lammy, Government Minister for Skills today.
