Fast-food giant updated

THE Middlesbrough McDonald’s restaurant in Linthorpe Road has received a major makeover.

The new look inside and out has been completed as part of McDonald’s ongoing five year restaurant refurbishment programme.

The work is part of a £2m investment to update high street McDonald’s restaurants in the North-east. Throughout the UK, the company is investing £25m refreshing over 100 high street restaurants.

The refurbishment, created especially for McDonald’s by French designer Philippe Avanzi, has transformed the restaurant with quirky new shapes and vibrant khaki, lime, orange and russet colours.

The £150,000 makeover has also seen the introduction of comfortable Jacobsen Swan and Egg chairs, stools and drop down lighting, to complete what will be a completely new environment for McDonald’s restaurants.

The branch employs more than 50 full and part-time staff.
