Concept spreads as firm unveils its expansion plans

A RECRUITMENT firm has launched a new division, opened its first office outside the region and plans to open three more in the new year.

Concept Personnel, a Newcastle-based recruitment consultancy for the creative and communications industries, has successfully opened a second office in Edinburgh. The company’s expansion has seen it also launch Concept Print – a new print division with a new business partner and director Michael Mawston.

This is the first recruitment firm in the region to focus on this niche area which is being spearheaded by Mr Mawston, who has 20 years’ experience in the print field.

The company was launched by home-grown entrepreneur Jo Carter, managing director of Concept Personnel.

She said: “With the hugely-successful launch of our second office, the opening of our unique print division and a key senior appointment within the Newcastle office, Concept Personnel now casts its net wider.

“And 2008 promises to be no less of a success. Our vision is to open a series of outstanding recruitment offices throughout the UK, and we are well on our way to opening three new offices next year, in Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham.”

Sue Ambrosi has been appointed as recruitment manager with the company. She has 15 years’ PR and marketing experience in both the private and public sectors.
