Card and gift company offers personal touch

A LESS frantic festive season is on the cards for customers of a new web-based business.
The Card and Gift Company at Spennymore makes the task of sending multiple good wishes easier while also putting the heart back into corporate messages.
Run by Andrew Gibson and his wife Helen, the company personalises every card with a handwritten greeting and stamps envelopes rather than franking them.
Andrew said: “Buying and sending cards online is not new but the messages are often printed and impersonal,” said Andrew.
“People are far more responsive if they receive a personalised greeting.”
And the service is not just for Christmas. The company has 1,500 designs and can create a diary of special occasions and a secure personal address book.
The service is proving especially popular with expatriates and forces personnel across the world, said Andrew.
