£2m business park is driven by commuters

DEMAND for commercial premises from professionals looking for a better quality of life in market towns is driving a £2m business park development, which could create up to 130 jobs.

Property developer Atrium is about to begin work on the first new office development in Guisborough town centre for years.

Atrium Business Park at The Triangle will provide seven companies with the opportunity to own state of the art offices, as the units are developed and sold rather than let.

Partner in the firm, Mike Graham, said the success of market town developments seen in places like Northallerton had inspired the idea, to help professionals in the area cut commuting time and find an ideal office close to home.

“Developments in market towns like Northallerton have been particularly successful recently.

“There are accountants, solicitors and other service people who live in Guisborough, who currently have to travel to town centres or business parks in other areas to find business premises.

“If you want a better place to locate rather than being out of the way in just a normal business park, this would provide it.”
